Study of a Rain Drop with Variable Mass using a Calculation and Simulation Software

Abstract

Reproducing apparently daily phenomena in the laboratory is not easy at all specially when we require them to explain certain physical concepts. Thus, the present article tries to show how we can study, by using computational tools like Mathcad and/or Interactive Physics, the case of a rain drop that falls through a cloud of water droplets, some of which adhere to the drop, making the mass of the drop to increase gradually.
