Tribute Conference to Professor Marcelo Alonso

Abstract

Professor Marcelo Alonso, cuban physicist, resident and nationalized in USA, died on November 11th 2005. After his stay in Havana during the 2nd Ibero-American Workshop on Teaching of Physics at the University (2000), he facilitated the establishment of relationships between the Cuban Physical Society and the American Physical Society. In this 4th Workshop we want to pay homage to his figure, supplying his professional data and some personal memories.
