Abstract

Within the latest in teaching of science has highlighted the role of systemic educational materials, including devices that allow the student to interact in the process of constructing knowledge. In this paper presents the result of the development of educational materials of low cost, as a support for the teaching-learning operation of internal combustion engines Otto kind, aimed at students in higher education. The educational materials developed consists of three elements integral to each other dependents: A teaching unit focused on the practical experimental model of a piston, designed for that purpose, and a virtual media theorist (website). The above items provide a tool that can be used in different ways and at different times depending on the specific programming for each subject.
