TeO2-doped ZnO Micro and Nanostructures Grown by the Vapour–solid Technique
Abstract
An approach for the obtaining of nano and microstructures from TeO2-doped ZnO powder by vapour-solid process technique is presented. Topological and cathodoluminescence (CL) measurements of the samples and structures were carried out. It was found that the structures are formed by a mixture of ZnO and ZnTexO1-x domains, and that in Te atoms in oxygen vacancy sites play a passivating role that can eliminate the defects. The local features of samples and representative structures were study by means of CL measurements and mapping.
