Modeling the Transversal Conduction in Superconductor Composites
Abstract
A theoretical model that describes the current distribution in superconductor-metal composites is presented. The model is veri- ed in a case when the relation between both components is kept constant along the sample, typical of longitudinal conduction. The current distribution for a Bi2223/Ag tape in the transversal direction was obtained, where the proportion between the superconductor material and silver is non uniform. Results show that abrupt changes in proportion between superconductor and silver do not cause a signicant inuence on the current distribution.
