Non-Stationary Fluxes of Viscoelastic Solutions
Abstract
Starting from the linear Oldroyd-B model, a generalized Darcy's Law is obtained in the frequency domain and an explicit expression for the dynamic permeability is given. Previous results in viscoelastic and Newtonian fluids are shown here to be particular cases of our generalized law. Different features of the velocity field generated by harmonic pressure gradients are also discussed, as well as the compressibility effects on the propagation of sound waves.
