Peroxidase-like Activity of MnFe2O4 Manganese Ferrite Nanoparticles

Abstract

The intrinsic peroxidase-like activity of MnFe2O4 magnetic nanoparticles (27,5 nm), using three differents substrates and peroxidase enzyme, was studied. The magnetic MnFe2O4 nanoparticles were prepared by the reverse micelle method. The size distribution of these NPs was characterized from X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy data. The observed peroxidase-like activity of MnFe2O4 nanoparticles was found to be dependent on the used pH and the H2O2 concentration.
