Abstract

This paper presents the study carried out in the patients in hemodialysis of the "Hermanos Ameijeiras" Hospital, concerning the hydrate assessments, by using impedance spectroscopy. The study was made applying 200 microamperes of current in a wide frequency range (5 kHz−1 MHz). The physical parameters were determined and later associated to the medical parameters. The analysis of the extra-cellular water volume (ECW), intra-cellular water volume and the total body water (TBW) were analyzed for a year at a single frequency (50 kHz) and by using the multi-frequency method.
