Quantum Theory of Massive Scalar Fields in Black String Space-Time
Abstract
Quantum field theory in curved black string space-time is constructed considering the specific case of massive scalar field. The renormalized vacuum expectation value of the stress tensor of the scalar field is presented and discussed. It is shown that a violation of the weak energy condition of General Relativity occurs at the horizon of the black string.
