LDA+U Approximation en its Versions: HMD, SIC, AMF(DTF) and a Forth LDA+U(d+p) version?

Abstract

We continue the review accomplished by E. Chigo Anota and J. F. Rivas Silva (Rev. Mex. Fís. E 50(2), 88 (2004)) where the characteristics presented by the approximation LDA+U (Local Density Approximation +Hubbard correction term) are described. Such method was developed by Vladimir Anisimov et al.,(Phys. Rev. B 44, 943 (1991)), which one makes corrections to the LDA (Local Density Approximation) approximation of the DFT (Functional Density Theory) theory for the systems treatment of strongly correlated systems. We described here the corrections known as LDA+UHMF, LDA+USIC and LDA+UAMF or DFT, and a fourth version called LDA+U(d+p) .
